The Artisans Outreach

THE ARTISANS OUTREACH

The Artisans Outreach is a non-profit organization focused on training and providing mentorship to active duty soldiers, veterans, and their family members who seek to learn artisan skills and utilize creativity to find their purpose.

DONATEMONTHLY RAFFLE

"Woodworking is the grounding that has allowed me to heal from the cumulative effects of combat and service. Woodworking has provided me a sense of purpose, mental focus, and a feeling of accomplishment. Through the Artisans Outreach and veterans program at Ballash Woodworks, I hope to give back by teaching other service members, veterans, and their families the trade while providing a safe environment to heal."

SUPPORT THE MISSION — WIN A MASTERPIECE

THE MONTHLY RAFFLE

Every month we draw one lucky ticket, and the winner takes home a custom, handcrafted piece from Ballash Woodworks. The prize rotates every month — sculptures, furniture, boards, and other one-of-a-kind shop pieces — so the geometric sculpture pictured here is just one example. Tickets start at just $1, and every dollar goes directly toward free and discounted woodworking workshops for active duty soldiers, veterans, and their families.

  • ✦ Anonymous — only your ticket number is ever published
  • ✦ A new winner — and a new rotating prize — every single month
  • ✦ Every ticket funds veteran woodworking training

TRAINING at The Artisans Outreach

TRAINING.

We have trained hundreds of individuals in the art of woodworking. In collaboration with local organizations and higher education institutions, we ensure students and military affiliates have access to learn from a master-skill craftsman. We provide access to our shop and tools as a resource for those seeking to learn the process of woodworking.

MENTORSHIP at The Artisans Outreach

MENTORSHIP.

In a strong effort to rekindle the craftsman roots in our local city, we started The Artisans Outreach. Its purpose is to inspire others to learn the skill and hard work that goes into woodworking. This trade is becoming more scarce and we want to restore a love for the artisan professions. We want others to feel connected to a community of creatives and craftsmen.

COMMUNITY at The Artisans Outreach

COMMUNITY.

Giving back to the community is a part of our core values as we seek to invest in both our military, students, and our fellow artisans. In conjunction with local grants, we provide free workshops to qualified military, veterans, and their families. In addition, our priority is bringing awareness to the skills and benefits of learning the trade.
